Haddon Hall

First of all I would like to thank you all for leaving comments :) I do love reading them all & appreciate them. I do try to visit your blogs but have been suffering a bit with morning sickness so am not on the computer as much as I'd like to. So please don't think that I have forgot all about you guys.

A while ago we went to visit a lovely stately home, Haddon Hall, which is nearby. It was so beautiful & I was told that it would be ok to take photos and share them with you all so I did.  Usually you are not allowed to take photos or use flash so I was over the moon when I was told that I can take photos. It was such a cute and cosy place. You know how people always say "oh I wish I owned this palce" well, usually the first thing that comes to my mind when I visit large places like these is, "oh how long it would take to clean a place this big", lol. This place although very big, seemed very homely. The furniture was grand but of wood rather than crystals and glass. It looked very earthy & there was large tapestries hanging on the walls. I could imagine myself sitting in the window with a good book like Pride & Prejudice and lovely cup of tea. I love it when a place gives that vibe. I love visiting posh places too but somehow don't feel comfortable visiting them as much. Probably because I worry about breaking something! The gardens in Haddon Hall were also really lovely, very grand but also with a herb and vegetable patch. Isn't that cute?!

Hope you all are having a good week and enjoy the photos.  Hubby & I have a baby scan coming up on Monday so we are very excited. I'll keep you posted and many thanks for your prayers :)

Many blessings

Christmas Mugs

Here are some photos of some of our Christmas mugs :) I loooooove Christmas mugs, bet you're surprised, lol. We use the mugs all year long to be honest & whenever I see one that I like I just buy it & then get rid of regular mugs to make room for the new ones. One Christmas mug that I would love to have though is a Starbucks Christmas mug. I never seem to see them in our local Starbucks & have looked online but haven't been very successful.  If I do find one, I'll definitely let you know. Do you also collect Christmas mugs?

Hope you are all having a great weekend & by the way please don't forget to stop by at my sweet friend's (Maureen) blog http://yuletideseasonings.blogspot.com/ this Sunday to share your Santa photos. I love reading them and have come across a couple of new great blogs that I didn't know about.

The Utah Heroes on Ellen

I watched this story on Ellen yesterday & can't stop thinking about it. It's at times like this that you think life can be utterly beautiful regardless of everything else that you hear and read every day. These people saved a man's life. Don't you wish politicians were like them? How many wars would there be in the world then? I'm just really touched by this story so I thought to share it with you all. Hope you like it.

Yuletide Seasonings: Sundays with Santa

My lovely friend Maureen from Yuletide Seasonings has started a new post called "Sundays with Santa". The idea is that we all stop by and share images of Santa Clause. It is such a sweet idea, who wouldn't want to spend some time every Sunday to think about Santa Clause especially with Christmas less than 99 days away! So lets all pop over and link up our Santa posts/Santa images. If you wish to join up this Sunday then please click HERE. Hope you all are having a great weekend.

Christmas Blessings,

Lily
